Families of World War II Veterans Statue Reveal
December 29, 2016

Coinciding with the 75th commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor, non-profit organization Families of World War II Veterans is pleased to announce the newest addition to Frisco Commons Park: a Fly Boy statue honoring the veterans of World War II.

The new statue has been the project of Eagle Scout Nicholas Morrow, who has been working for over 2 years to raise money for this memorial. Morrow reached out to Families of World War II Veterans for assistance, and it was a natural partnership. Families of World War II Veterans is a non-profit, worldwide organization dedicated to preserving the historic lessons of World War II and honoring the sacrifices of World War II veterans.

Founded and chaired by Barbara Fasola, CEO of Frisco-based Careington International Corporation, Families of World War II Veterans was created in 2010 in honor of Fasola's father, a local World War II veteran who served in the South Pacific and attended the statue reveal on his 91st birthday.
