In honor of World War II veterans, scholarships will be awarded to full-time students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees from U.S. accredited universities. All U.S. donations are fully tax-deductible in compliance with the law.

Families of World War II Veterans Scholarship Fund

The Families of World War II Veterans Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors and college students who plan to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree at a U.S. college or university of their choice. The Families of World War II Veterans Scholarship is a one-time award with amounts ranging from $500 to $5,000.

2019 Honorary Scholarship Recipients

In honor of deceased WWII Veterans, families have made $5,000 donations toward scholarships in their relatives' honor. The following scholarships were named in honor of veterans.

How to apply for a Families of World War II Veterans Scholarship

Scholarship Application Checklist:

  • Scholarship application must be submitted by mail.
  • Letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, guidance counselor, principal or vice principal, OR a college professor, mentor or counselor.
  • A complete, official, school-issued high school transcript of grades OR proof of full-time enrollment in a university or college.
  • Awardees must maintain a 3.0 GPA or greater.
  • Awardees are expected to attend the Families of World War II Veterans annual fundraising event or provide a brief written statement to be read at the event.

Scholarship Renewal Checklist:

  • Community Service Essay
    • 500 words or more
    • Project details
    • Why they chose the project
    • Was the overall goal achieved?
  • Proof of community service form signed by project coordinator or guardian, click here to download the community service form.
