Families of World War II Veterans Participates in North Texas Giving Day 2016
September 20, 2016

Nonprofit organization Families of World War II Veterans is proud to participate in the annual North Texas Giving Day, an online giving event for people to come together to raise as much money as possible for North Texas nonprofits in one day. Giving Day is Thursday, September 22, from 6 a.m. to midnight CT.

Communities Foundation of Texas created North Texas Giving Day in 2009. North Texas Giving Day was one of the first community giving days in the country and is still the largest. In 2015, $33 million was raised benefiting 2,020 nonprofits.

Families of World War II Veterans is dedicated to preserving the historic lessons of World War II and honoring the sacrifices of World War II veterans worldwide. One of the primary goals of the organization is to award scholarships to students pursuing undergraduate and post-graduate education. Through the organization’s website, the online global community allows visitors to share experiences of this conflict and provides younger generations with resources to help expand their knowledge of the powerful sacrifices World War II veterans made around the world.

North Texas Giving Day donations to Families of World War II Veterans can be made on September 22 to our Giving Day page. Donations can also be made year-round on our website and our GuideStar profile.
