Dear Families of WWII Veterans Community,

To the Committee and Donors, I cannot explain how thankful I am to receive this scholarship yet again. The impact that your generosity had and will have again on my life is more than you know. The financial burden placed upon my mother and I is a very intimidating foe, but through the help given to us by this scholarship, graduation and the furthering of my education is one step closer.

This year, I am in my junior year under the Athletic Health Care program. In the near future, my hope is to graduate with my bachelor’s degree from Benedictine College and move on to another institution to attain my Master of Science in Athletic Training. My current cumulative GPA is about 3.55 and on the rise, because it is important for me to not only get the grades I need to stay afloat, but to get the grades that help me rise above the rest. Along with my classes, I have also accumulated over 550 hours of Student Athletic Training experience over the past 3 semesters. The aid you have granted to me has made me able to not only study the things I wish to do for the rest of my life, but to get amazing hands-on experiences that others do not get the opportunity to take part in.

In the end, I truly cannot thank you enough, and hope I have demonstrated how this scholarship is much more than just money to me. The burden it has helped to lift allows me to focus more on my studies and clinical experiences, and to put more time in, to get more knowledge out. You will not regret your decision, as I can assure you it will be put to good use day after day. Thank you so much.
